“Problems involved in software quality management as per us”
“The growing reluctance of customers to accept software faults without complaint has had a major impact on the practical importance of software quality management. It has to be pointed out, however, that the production of completely error-free software is virtually impossible, simply because the strength of software - its dynamic adaptability to the individual requirements of the customer - is also the factor which increases its susceptibility to error almost immeasurably. For example, in order to check every possible error in the customization of a medium-sized software product prior to its official release, several million test procedures would, in theory, have to be defined and then carried out on the product. This in turn would entail immense cost and effort. The risk that a company will be "immobilized" for a lengthy period of time as a result of a software fault increases in proportion to the degree to which it is computerized. In order to meet these diverse demands, the only strategy available to us is to configure software quality engineering in such a way that expenditure on software testing is reduced substantially by means of standardization and automation and that the possibility of error during the software production process is minimized by means of appropriate preventive measures.”
What we offer in this field?
“ We can offer practical, economically efficient concepts for software quality engineering. These are not "readymade" concepts; they are quality engineering frameworks which can be adapted to suit the specific requirements of individual organizations. We regard software engineering and quality engineering as complementary processes. Software engineering focuses on the optimal production of software, while quality engineering, based on the QE model, focuses on the optimal definition and testing of the software solution's quality”.
